Life Coaching

Life Coaching

Life coaching is a constructed alliance between a life coach and client. A life coach is a wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives by assisting in clarifying and setting viable goals, identifying obstacles, and offering strategies for overcoming each obstacle holding them back. Life coaches are responsible for guiding their clients into their desired future. By exposing confusion areas and providing realistic methods and actions for positive personal growth and behavior modification, life coaches provide support for their clients to achieve long-lasting change.

As a certified life coach, Rev. Dr. Inell Richardson Claypool bases her instructions on sound biblical principles to help her clients advance into fulfillment and execute self-identified goals in their professional and personal lives.

A counselor assists clients with identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional and mental turmoil. Last fall God gifted me with a few months of visits with Inell during a time of major transition in my life. There had been years of trauma that threatened my joy and I was unable to navigate a way through. We met by phone thousands of miles apart. She would always start off with prayer asking the Holy Spirit to be present. She had a confidence that He was there and the miles between us dissipated along with all the distractions of the day and we were together in a holy place where she listened carefully and tenderly pulled out my fears one by one and brought them into the Light. She broke things down into manageable sizes, breaking down every stronghold, giving me little assignments that my brain could handle. She would rummage through my heart and pull out joys and confidences and strengths that I had forged along the way and showed them to me. You did this, you wanted this, you are never going to this place again she’d say. And I was like, how did you know that?! She burrowed into my soul and found my song and told me that I’ve been singing that song by myself for a long time, but now I needed to learn how to sing it with someone else. Not an easy road but Inell gave me a map of the joys and pitfalls and I am learning to navigate the way forward, so grateful to have had the pleasure of her company in this walk of faith.

I am not the best with words. I wish I could show you the old me, 3 years ago versus the new me today. I am beyond where I was. I am free from past traumas and hurts. I feel loved and now know my value. Inell taught me that. I have never felt safe with anyone and didn’t talk much about my past (I honestly had it so buried I didn’t remember most of it) but with Inell for the first time in a long time or maybe even ever I felt safe to talk about what I needed to get off my chest. She helped me see everything that was buried. She helps you see things that you may be blind to and helps you work on the best version of yourself.
